Senior SAN engineer

- Support the release and life cycle processes for SAN fabric, including installations, upgrades, and decommissions - Provide leadership for enterprise-level SAN fabric and storage array infrastructure support - Contribute to the operational readiness of platforms in collaboration with shared teams, including documenting processes, updating guidelines, and ensuring compliance with audit procedures - Engage in troubleshooting storage issues, leading response efforts for major incidents, root cause analysis, and performance tuning - Act as an ITIL-compliant champion for incident, request, and change management, with a focus on problem management - Collaborate with the monitoring team to create new event and performance monitors as required - Take part in the modernization and automation initiatives for storage infrastructure - Maintain vendor relations while researching and testing new technologies - Proactively review and manage open client and infrastructure problems to minimize issues and support quicker incident resolution - Serve as a point of escalation for storage-specific expertise - Generate storage usage reports and projections - Lead or participate in technical projects centered on Storage Area Network specialization - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware specifications, quotations, and implementation - Provide technical input for complex solution designs, configurations, and installations of new services, offering third-level support on PACCARs storage network - Document storage network issues and resolutions for future reference, automating processes to reduce support overhead - Engage as part of a 24/7 support team, including on-call responsibilities - Be open to occasional travel, up to 10% of the time
