Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles, specifically in desktop support and technical troubleshooting. - Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, LANs, and network troubleshooting methodologies. - Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. - Knowledge of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy. - Strong understanding of computer hardware components and software troubleshooting techniques. - Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues to non-technical users. - Experience assisting remote users via help desk tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical assistance for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and networking devices. - Diagnose and resolve software issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and applications like Microsoft Office. - Assist users with VPN configurations, firewall setups, and local area network (LAN) connectivity challenges. - Utilize ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other ticketing systems to document incidents and monitor the progression of issue resolutions. - Support maintenance, upgrades, and replacements of computer hardware. - Resolve software troubleshooting matters concerning operating systems and applications. - Configure and support network devices, including firewalls and LAN setups. - Communicate effectively with end-users to identify issues and offer clear solutions. - Stay updated on current technology trends and help implement new tools or procedures when necessary.
