Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT asset management, with a solid grasp of ITIL best practices.
- Strong organizational abilities, capable of overseeing multiple asset management projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Background in IT service management tools, especially SolarWinds.
- Strong leadership capabilities to mentor and guide junior IT team members.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all IT assets, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Formulate and enforce asset management policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Perform regular asset audits to monitor and document asset usage, maintenance, and disposal activities.
- Leverage IT service management tools, such as ITIL, to log and manage asset incidents, requests, and issues.
- Work in partnership with IT teams to facilitate effective disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Create and sustain comprehensive asset records, incorporating configuration details, inventory listings, and maintenance timelines.
- Utilize software development expertise to build and manage custom asset management tools and scripts.
- Mentor junior IT staff to ensure the adoption of effective asset management practices throughout the organization.
- Analyze and report on asset usage and performance metrics using tools like Excel and SolarWinds.
- Plan and oversee budgets for asset acquisitions and maintenance activities.
