Desktop Support Technician - IT support

- Provide hardware and software support to employees and new hires - Image and install software on Windows and Apple laptops/desktops, including IMAC configurations - Troubleshoot deployment issues across various computer platforms including Windows, Macintosh, and mobile devices - Handle printer installations and repairs - Manage asset disposal, redeployment, and reclaiming processes - Coordinate shipping activities - Oversee data backup and recovery operations - Conduct hardware refresh activities - Facilitate warranty and out-of-warranty repairs and replacements - Manage depot services operations - Provide walk-up support for users - Handle spare parts inventory management - Support executive (VIP) staff with their technical needs - Provide audio and video support including routine health checks - Manage inventory and asset oversight related to depot operations - Collaborate with external vendors for dispatch support - Identify and resolve conflicts in hardware and software applications - Open and close service requests, managing classification, assignment, tracking, and resolution of incidents - Tag assets and enter all incoming equipment in our asset management system - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires - Ensure hardware assignments are accurately tracked in our management system - Compile weekly reports on physical inventory and monitor outflows of hardware - Schedule repairs with external suppliers for malfunctioning hardware - Ensure solutions align with company standards and policies
