Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent with two (2) years of experience in design.
- Requires internal placement, needing a panel review and approval from the manager, local Vice President of Engineering, and Chief Technology Officer.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree or equivalent with six (6) years of design experience.
- Experience and/or training in GD&T.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in standard Windows Office tools, including SharePoint and CAD software.
- Experience with Cero is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Definitions is strongly preferred.
- Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Utilize GD&T practices to update existing drawings based on engineering markups and review for accuracy with senior engineers.
- Employ a computer-aided drafting system to produce 3D and 2D layouts of parts, medium assemblies, and sub-weldments with minimal guidance from the senior design team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with suppliers to gather necessary technical data.
- Conduct self-checks to ensure precision and adherence to established CAD specifications and standards.
- Prepare and design medium complexity Change Notice (CN) documents based on BOM and design layouts for accurate data entry.
- Use the ERP system to create part numbers in alignment with proper naming conventions and data entry protocols.
- Develop and modify medium complexity BOM in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Offer technical support for build issues, prototypes, pilot projects, and production to the Engineering team.
