Requirements
Must:
- Experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of various computer systems and networks
- Knowledge of internet security and data privacy regulations
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Certification as an IT Technician is a plus (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
Responsibilities
- Set up workstations equipped with computers and essential peripherals (routers, printers, etc.)
- Assess computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards, etc.) to confirm operational status
- Install and configure necessary software and functionalities per specifications
- Develop and oversee local networks to enhance performance
- Safeguard security and privacy of computer systems and networks
- Provide orientation and support to users on utilizing new software and hardware
- Organize and coordinate upgrades and maintenance without disrupting ongoing work
- Diagnose and resolve issues through troubleshooting (repair or replacement of parts, debugging, etc.)
- Maintain logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules
- Identify shortages of computer or network equipment and place orders accordingly
