Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a comparable field
- 4–8 years of experience in product management within SaaS, IoT, or connected device domains
- Proven ability to manage products that integrate hardware with cloud software
- Familiarity with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, REST APIs, Bluetooth, Zigbee
- Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT
- Experience leading agile development teams and overseeing product backlogs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Preferred: Experience with SaaS platforms and knowledge of insurance processes including quoting, policy issuance, and claims
- Preferred: Familiarity with device lifecycle management, over-the-air updates, and edge computing
- Preferred: Knowledge of user analytics and security compliance in IoT/SaaS (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO)
- Preferred: MBA or an advanced technical degree
Responsibilities
- Create and communicate a clear product strategy for our SaaS and IoT offerings, aligning hardware capabilities with cloud services
- Establish revenue and P&L metrics for product performance
- Lead research and development efforts for new product initiatives
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers and partners to identify real-world use cases and opportunities
- Serve as a bridge between stakeholders and users to enhance content relevance
- Develop and oversee the complete product roadmap, including firmware, APIs, and applications
- Manage content within platforms like SharePoint or similar systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to secure reliable connectivity and data exchange between devices and cloud services
- Foster a knowledge-sharing culture with best practices and training initiatives
- Review user stories and technical requirements to ensure alignment with user experience and accessibility
- Work alongside data teams to define data capabilities that enhance user experience
- Assist in training by providing content for workshops and learning modules
- Partner with sales and marketing to successfully launch new features and pricing models
- Support the development and updating of sales materials and consulting resources
- Set success metrics for product adoption and engagement, driving continuous improvement through data analysis
