Requirements
Must:
- 4-5 years of experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10, Mac OS) including centralized Patch Management
- 2 years of experience in a Windows environment (Windows 2012 R2, 2016, 2019) with knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting Firewalls, Managed Switches, and printers is advantageous
- Strong grasp of networking concepts and troubleshooting skills utilizing the OSI model
- Relevant Degree, Certification, or Course may be accepted as equivalent experience
- Reliable transportation for travel within the NOVA region
- Excellent verbal communication abilities for direct client interactions
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure laptops and workstations for new employees and provide basic onboarding assistance for common applications like Office and Slack
- Address daily Tier 1 issues for end users on Microsoft Operating Systems and Mac OS through remote support via Chat, Email, and Phone
- Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems or the implementation of new functionalities for backend infrastructure, including Windows servers and enterprise applications
- Conduct onsite visits to client locations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues
- Support the providing, imaging, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software
- Communicate directly with clients to explain technical issues clearly and build rapport
- Manage inventory including boxing and shipping of equipment
