Requirements
Must:
- At least 3 years of experience in application security, product security, or systems security
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on Security or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Proven background in architecture, design, deployment, and management of standard security practices and policies
- Expertise in cloud products or services, specifically in IaaS and PaaS
- Familiarity with architecture security assessments for cloud-based products or services
- Profound knowledge of multi-tenancy, cloud security, virtualization, Access Management, OAuth, Cloud SSO, Identity Provisioning, and Identity Governance
- In-depth understanding of Encryption, Key Management, Cybersecurity fundamentals, Deployment Methodologies, and Security Standards Compliance (e.g., STIG, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS)
- Strong grasp of concepts related to Docker, Container, Serverless computing, and Kubernetes
- Capability to design scalable systems for cloud customers with a focus on security
- Knowledge of network security, VPNs/Firewalls, and software-defined networking is a bonus
- Experience with supporting a security assurance and assessment program is advantageous
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures, drive innovation, and implement best practices into our products and services
- Conduct threat modeling, security architecture assessments, risk evaluations, and offer recommendations for mitigating identified risks
- Identify proactive solutions to prevent security challenges at scale
- Establish and uphold technical security standards and guidelines
- Provide expert security guidance to service teams to ensure our products and services are secure by default
- Remain informed about advancements in cloud security and apply this knowledge to strengthen our security posture

We are a dedicated team of security experts focused on securing every facet of Oracle Cloud. Our role involves setting comprehensive security standards across OCI and ensuring the highest levels of security are upheld for our customers. We are currently seeking a passionate security engineer with cloud security experience to join our Security Architecture team. This role is based in various locations including Nashville, TN, Austin, TX, the UK, and Ireland. We offer competitive benefits including a hiring range from $87,000 to $178,100 per annum with potential bonuses and equity.
