Requirements
Must:
- Excellent presentation abilities, including planning, material preparation, and public speaking
- Proven skill in tailoring communications to the technical expertise of the audience
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills to engage various backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, project management, and mentoring capabilities
- Effective solution-oriented problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting
- Experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python, and GitHub (or similar)
- Demonstrated experience in delivering Infrastructure as Code
- Advanced expertise in architecting, designing, deploying, and operating network elements such as DNS/IPAM, firewalls, NAC solutions, load balancing, DDoS mitigation, and NTP
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers or cloud systems
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) or equivalent field experience
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of network infrastructure, including design, deployment, support, compliance, and documentation for routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud solutions
- Lead and implement network modifications, ensuring adherence to security, performance, and compliance with governance frameworks (NIST-CSF, COBIT)
- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues and bring large-scale projects to fruition
- Provide strategic guidance for network planning, maintain current documentation, and deliver on-call operational support for reliability and business continuity
- Oversee the development, implementation, and management of policies, procedures, and controls
- Create and administer Risk Intakes/Acceptance(s) as necessary
- Lead initiatives for Vulnerability Management
- Stay proactive regarding changes in policies and procedures that impact network compliance
- Manage documentation requests from auditors or examinations efficiently
- Maintain precise inventory of Business Applications and Devices in Service-Now
- Create, revise, and validate Configuration Baselines for network applications and equipment
- Conduct regular compliance audits and validations throughout the network
- Direct remediation efforts related to findings and observations, ensuring a focus on root causes and timely resolutions
