Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. You should have at least seven years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of three years in a leadership position. A strong technical foundation in relevant technologies such as Go, Java, cloud platforms, and CI/CD is essential. Additionally, you need to have a proven track record in leading and motivating engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on creative solutions for complex challenges, are also required. Experience managing software development projects—including scoping, planning, and execution—and familiarity with Agile development practices are important.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead effective brainstorming sessions to cultivate innovative ideas and solutions. You will drive multi-scrum technology feasibility, delivery, and quality in collaboration with product and design teams. Establishing and gaining approval for technology roadmaps that align with product roadmaps will be crucial. You will serve as a specialist for specific technical capabilities, articulating the technology vision and roadmaps to diverse audiences and adjusting your communication appropriately. Achieving successful negotiation outcomes efficiently while fostering relationships and guiding decision-making will be part of your duties. You will also lead technical team interactions and influence decisions regarding architecture, software design, implementation, and incident recovery in a respectful manner. Advising team members on the quality of software designs, code, tests, and documentation will be expected. You will build strong relationships with product, design, and business/operations teams, clearly articulate the financial implications of capabilities in decision-making, and thoroughly vet requirements to ensure clarity. You will need to establish clear commitments regarding costs and timelines to stakeholders, consistently communicate expectations, and proactively share insights to uplift your colleagues.
