Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience as a Desktop Technician or in a related IT role
- Prior experience in healthcare IT or with Epic systems is highly desirable, but not mandatory
- Familiarity with desktop support operations and troubleshooting techniques
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of devices to support an important initiative for rolling out enterprise-level Epic EMR within a healthcare system
- Evaluate various devices including workstations, thin clients, printers, e-signature pads, barcode scanners, and other end-user equipment that connect with the Epic EHR
- Test each device prior to the go-live phase to ensure functionality
- Assess workstations and peripheral devices using Epic software modules and execute test scripts to guarantee accurate printing queues and proper mapping of printers
- Create, modify, and analyze Excel spreadsheets as needed during testing
- Provide detailed documentation of any workstation or device failures, utilizing Epic modules and test-script results to ensure swift and efficient troubleshooting and resolution
- Comprehend expected outcomes and accurately document failures in accordance with test script specifications
Description
We are looking for a Healthcare IT Technician for a 4-month contract position located in Yankton, SD. Our company offers a competitive rate of $25/hour along with benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401K plan. This role requires individuals to be local to Yankton or the surrounding area, as the position is fully onsite. You will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. We are committed to providing a thorough onboarding process, which includes a drug test and background check at no cost.
