Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 4 years in Desktop Support Technician role or similar IT experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a Lead or Managerial position with direct reports
- Experience within the Healthcare sector or with Epic software is highly advantageous
- Prior experience leading Epic TDR initiatives is ideal
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of Technicians while providing guidance and support
- Collaborate effectively with Project Managers to ensure technician workload optimization
- Assist with deployment tasks and device testing as required
- Test various end-user devices including workstations, thin clients, printers, e-signature pads, and bar code scanners in relation to the Epic EHR
- Conduct pre-go-live testing on each device to confirm functionality
- Execute Epic software modules and test scripts for workstations and peripherals to establish correct printing queues and device mappings
- Create, modify, and review Excel worksheets for documentation purposes
- Provide comprehensive reports on any malfunctioning workstation or device, utilizing Epic modules to facilitate prompt troubleshooting and resolution
- Document failures in accordance with expected test outcomes and script requirements
Description
We are a dynamic organization located in Aberdeen, SD, offering a contract position for a Lead Computer Technician at a rate of $32 per hour plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k). The role is fully onsite, requiring a local candidate, and involves a schedule of 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
