Requirements
Must:
- Desktop Technician or relevant IT experience or experience in healthcare
- Recent college graduates with a background in IT or healthcare
- Minimum of 1 year of helpdesk or related IT experience (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare or a related field (preferred)
- Ability to commute to Mitchell, SD 57301 (required)
Responsibilities
- Testing and validating end-user devices in preparation for Epic go-live, including workstations, thin clients, printers, barcode scanners, e-signature pads, and other clinical peripherals integrated with Epic
- Executing Epic test scripts and assessing device performance within the Epic module
- Ensuring that printers are correctly mapped to workstations
- Properly creating and maintaining printing queues to ensure functionality
- Making sure peripheral devices function as intended
- Reviewing, creating, and modifying Excel spreadsheets related to device tracking and testing results
- Documenting malfunctioning devices with clear, detailed notes using Epic outputs and test results to assist in effective troubleshooting
- Identifying expected outcomes from test scripts and accurately recording any discrepancies
Description
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a healthcare contract based in Mitchell, SD. This is a fully onsite role, and candidates must be local to Mitchell or nearby areas. The position offers a competitive rate of $25 per hour, alongside benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401K plan. Our technicians will work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and will undergo an onboarding process that includes a drug test and background check at no cost to them. We value both experienced technicians and recent graduates who are eager to embark on their careers in IT or healthcare.
