Responsibilities

As an Engineer II at OpenTech Alliance, you will be essential in maintaining our current systems while also participating in the design and development of advanced internal applications for the self-storage sector. Your duties will encompass: - Collaborating with a high-performing project team, including a dedicated Tech Lead, front-end and back-end developers, UX/UI designer, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists. - Designing and developing Facility Management integration software and real-time systems for inter-system communications. - Utilizing your expertise to maintain and enhance legacy systems while also contributing to the development of next-generation solutions. ###

Technical Qualifications: - Over 5 years of development experience with proficiency in the following technologies: - C# and VB.NET on the .NET Framework (Visual Studio 2013 or later) - MS SQL Server Database (strong SQL, Stored Procedures, Database Design skills) - REST and SOAP Web Services - Basic knowledge of C++ and Visual Basic (Visual Studio 6.0) - Experience with Angular - Familiarity with AWS/cloud services - Background in microservices - Experience with .NET Core and .NET Windows Services is a plus. - Understanding of Object Relational Mapping (ORM) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) design and implementation is preferred. - Experience in developing front-end applications that utilize back-end services is an advantage. Experience and Skills: - Strong problem-solving, debugging, and root cause analysis abilities. - Capability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in translating designs and requirements into functional systems. - Experience in taking proof-of-concepts from technical design to production deployment. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and standard development processes. - Excellent time management skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. Education, Experience, and Training: - A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; this role is not suited for recent graduates or junior software engineers. - A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is required. - Additional years of professional experience may be considered in place of a degree for exceptionally strong candidates.
