Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional experience in Linux system administration and cloud engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift and AKS in production environments
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, networking, and security
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP and hybrid cloud strategies
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Extensive expertise in RHEL environments
- Proficiency in automation using Ansible, Ansible Tower/AAP, and scripting
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Helm, and GitOps
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of Azure, with additional exposure to AWS or GCP regarded as beneficial
- Understanding of container security, RBAC, network policies, and compliance frameworks
- Solid grasp of Kubernetes networking, service mesh technologies, and ingress controllers
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage container orchestration platforms utilizing OpenShift and AKS
- Administer and enhance Linux-based systems within hybrid and multi-cloud settings
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through the Ansible Automation Platform
- Develop and sustain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows
- Partner with DevOps and application teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and adhere to DevSecOps practices
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal availability and disaster recovery protocols
- Enforce security best practices for containerized workloads and cloud environments
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and contribute to strategic cloud initiatives
- Assist in migrations to the cloud, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with company architecture standards
