Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with kdb+/Q
- Proficient in Python and PyKX for data analytics and processing
- Experience in designing and constructing large-scale critical business systems
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Ability to comprehend market risk domain and implement effective data solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Capability to operate independently in complex decision-making scenarios
- Ability to develop and oversee operational initiatives that support business objectives
- Strong communication skills
- Comfort and effectiveness in working autonomously within a global team
- Over 5 years of experience in designing and building applications; experience with distributed systems is a plus
- Preferred knowledge of Java, kdb Insights is an advantage
- Understanding of kdb+ architecture and distributed computing
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark
- Understanding of Agile software development and DevOps practices
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of cloud-based data processing frameworks and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Background in financial technologies (FinTech) or finance-related experience
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain kdb+ databases and risk engine components
- Develop solutions using Q/kdb+ and Python/PyKX to improve market risk data processing
- Implement scalable, high-performance computing solutions for market risk analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international colleagues to provide top-notch solutions
- Enhance risk data processing pipelines to boost efficiency and response times
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards for market risk technology
- Work within an Agile development framework to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers in the team
- Diagnose and rectify performance problems within KDB+ and risk analytics platforms
