Requirements
Must:
- Proven track record in application security focused on testing and vulnerability management
- Hands-on experience with various Application Security tools
- Strong knowledge of prevalent application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies and associated tools
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of risk management principles
- Degree in a technology-related field (Computer Science, Information Management, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent)
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CSSLP) or equivalent are preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct Application Security scans (e.g., DAST and SCA) on applications and APIs to uncover security vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Triage security findings and partner with development teams to prioritize and resolve identified vulnerabilities
- Integrate threat modeling as a standardized component of the SDLC and develop and maintain threat models for critical applications, identifying potential security risks and suggesting mitigations
- Lead the Security Champions program, defining and advocating for secure coding practices, patterns, and standards within development teams
- Perform security reviews and offer guidance on security requirements for new features and projects
- Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new application security tools, processes, and standards
