Requirements
Must:
- Background in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience in an MSP, service desk, SOC, or client‑facing IT support role.
- Ability to manage tickets, priorities, and SLAs in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles.
- Strong analytical skills along with troubleshooting and client communication abilities.
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and related security controls is valuable.
- Exposure to security alert monitoring, log analysis, or incident investigation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of remote support tools, endpoint security, and basic scripting/automation is beneficial.
- Understanding of firewall, VPN, or network troubleshooting basics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, assess, and prioritize security alerts and events for various client environments.
- Investigate possible security incidents and support containment and remediation efforts in line with established incident response protocols.
- Oversee security-related ticketing while ensuring precise documentation, timely updates, and SLA adherence.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding security alerts, findings, and suggested follow-up actions.
- Conduct remote troubleshooting and inquiries utilizing standard MSP tools and secure remote access methods.
- Escalate complex or significant incidents to higher-level security or infrastructure engineers when necessary.
- Deploy, manage, and sustain security tools and services for client environments.
- Document incidents, solutions, and security procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ongoing enhancement.
- Keep abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and leading practices in cybersecurity.
