Requirements
Must:
- Strong SQL proficiency.
- Basic understanding of UNIX shell scripting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of key Data Warehousing principles such as Dimensional Modeling, Star and Snowflake Schemas, Data Marts, Security and Deployment, FACT and Dimensional Tables, as well as Logical and Physical Data Modeling.
- Excellent abilities in Data Analysis, Data Requirements Analysis, and Data Mapping for ETL processes.
- Practical experience in optimizing mappings and addressing performance issues across various levels including sources, targets, mappings, and sessions.
- Expertise in crafting complex SQL queries, including unions and multiple table joins, along with familiarity in working with Views.
- Proficient in UNIX shell scripting.
- Experience with Netezza and Yellowbrick.
- Significant background in ETL design, development, and maintenance utilizing SQL Server SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL Loader.
- Proficient in database programming within PL/SQL (Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Packages).
- Familiarity with Informatica Power Centre, SQL Server SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, Netezza, Yellowbrick, and UNIX.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all tasks associated with the design, execution, management, and support of ETL processes for large-scale data warehouses using Informatica Power Centre.
- Develop and implement robust ETL strategies to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Analyze and refine existing ETL mappings to improve performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, mappings, and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that arise during ETL operations.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards throughout the ETL lifecycle.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data warehousing processes.
