Cloud Engineer with AWS Expertise

- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for reliability and availability across our Digital portfolio - Promote the adoption of site reliability best practices throughout our organization, demonstrating success through measurable stability metrics - Lead the design of cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficiency - Apply best practices in cloud architecture in accordance with the Azure Well-Architected Framework for secure and cost-effective solutions - Manage cloud infrastructure, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated deployment - Monitor system performance, address issues, and optimize cloud environments - Design AKS with Istio service mesh for enhanced microservices communication and security with CI/CD integration through Helm charts - Automate cloud environment provisioning using pipeline engineering with Terraform, Chef, Puppet, and other tools - Research, analyze, and support the development of high-quality automation workflows that align with business strategies - Collaborate with teams to strategize and prototype best practices for CI/CD applications and cloud solutions - Advocate for Distributed Version Control and Trunk-Based Development practices, including ATDD and TDD - Lead proof of concept initiatives and assess technical feasibility for business requirements - Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose their application in current and future projects - Troubleshoot production issues, coordinating with relevant parties for resolutions - Oversee processes related to 3rd party data streams into the datacenter and cloud - Work with Architecture teams to advise on necessary enabling work and coordinate delivery for business customers - Ensure system availability and implement 24/7 monitoring - Continuously enhance operational processes and standards - Educate and support team members on Cloud standards, focusing on Azure and Cloud-Native development - Facilitate compliance automation and policy-as-code to improve cloud governance - Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients - Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and management - Resolve conflicts between project timelines, budgets, and scope while escalating complex issues to senior management when needed - Direct change management through established review and approval processes
