Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of progressive IT experience, with a focus on senior leadership roles
- Proven track record in enterprise IT operations and cloud-based systems
- Strong proficiency with SAP ERP platforms; experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is highly preferred
- Experience managing IT teams across multiple locations or internationally
- Bachelors degree in IT, Information Systems, or a related field is mandatory
- Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written) is essential
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive oversight for the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud migration
- Serve as the executive sponsor and decision-maker for the program in collaboration with the COO
- Coordinate with our SAP ERP specialist as the main operational contact, ensuring clear delegation and accountability
- Supervise system integrators, partners, and dependencies to guarantee a successful go-live and post-launch stability
- Work on minimizing single-point-of-failure risks through knowledge redundancy and formal documentation
- Coach the team to evolve from direct control to a collaborative, scalable operating model
- Construct a robust regional IT leadership framework with defined accountability and performance metrics
- Define and implement a cloud-first IT operational strategy across the U.S., Nicaragua, and Honduras
- Ensure that enterprise systems promote operational scalability, resilience, and security within multi-country settings
- Take on functional and managerial oversight for the IT team in Nicaragua, extending responsibilities to Honduras
- Enhance local IT capabilities to support cloud systems, ERP delivery, infrastructure, security, and user empowerment
- Encourage a cloud-first mindset within regional teams, diminishing reliance on on-premise or ad-hoc solutions
- Build local execution capacity to ensure reliable, consistent delivery of IT projects in Nicaragua and Honduras
Description
We are Oliva Cigar, seeking a senior IT leader to guide the modernization and resilience of our global technology framework. This key leadership position, reporting directly to the COO, will focus on the successful execution of our SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud migration. You will lead IT operations across the U.S. and Central America, particularly in Nicaragua and Honduras, where we aim to establish a modern, cloud-first model to support our manufacturing and supply chain functions.
