Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology with increasing responsibilities
- Comprehensive understanding of high availability architectures across various technical platforms
- Strong knowledge of server, database, enterprise storage infrastructure, and data center operations
- Familiarity with information security and backup and recovery technologies
- Proven skills in performance and capacity management, project planning, and leadership
- Experience with vendor negotiations and establishing strategic relationships
- Ability to direct and guide a diverse team
- Exceptional critical thinking and customer service skills
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Knowledgeable about cloud technologies (public, private, hybrid)
- Experience in budget management including contract negotiations and financial analysis
- Preferred: Epic Software experience
- Preferred: 2-3 years managing an Infrastructure Team and offshore teams
Responsibilities
- Define the strategic directions for enterprise desktop, server, storage, and data management technologies
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement cost-effective practices for enterprise servers and data management
- Propose and ensure implementation of disaster recovery solutions for critical systems
- Assess client requests for new projects and software/hardware updates, coordinating scheduling and departmental activities
- Establish capacity, performance, availability, and recoverability needs for projects
- Oversee the work of technical staff and conduct performance evaluations
- Plan for long-term staffing and budgetary requirements
- Develop effective policies and procedures for infrastructure management
- Establish and refine processes related to capacity, availability, service continuity, and configuration management
- Ensure that enterprise infrastructure is thoroughly documented and understood
- Perform additional tasks as required by management, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency
