Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in application management or IT leadership, ideally within utilities, energy, or regulated industries
- Proven track record managing enterprise application portfolios and overseeing full application lifecycles
- Strong grasp of security principles, integration patterns, analytics, and contemporary application architectures
- Demonstrated ability to lead and nurture technical teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Associates degree in related fields with at least 14 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role, or
- Eighteen years of direct experience in relevant areas with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of utility business applications from planning and implementation to optimization and retirement
- Define and maintain multi-year product roadmaps that align with business strategies and regulatory requirements
- Analyze industry trends, vendor roadmaps, and emerging technologies to inform product direction and investment strategies
- Spearhead application de-duplication, consolidation, and standardization to minimize complexity and operational risks
- Establish decision-making frameworks for cloud, SaaS, and on-premise solutions considering security and compliance
- Ensure solutions remain scalable, reliable, and maintainable over time
- Serve as a reliable partner to business leaders, translating operational requirements into product priorities
- Balance competing demands related to regulatory requirements, operational resilience, and innovation
- Communicate product vision, progress, risks, and value to stakeholders at both executive and operational levels
- Ensure applications adhere to enterprise standards for security, integration, reporting, and lifecycle support
- Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to fulfill security and compliance needs
- Guide technical teams in devising solutions that ensure operational continuity and disaster recovery
- Build and lead a high-performing product and technical support team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Contribute to workforce planning, skill enhancement, and succession planning in line with future technological requirements
- Lead agile and hybrid delivery models to assure predictable, high-quality results
- Define and monitor success metrics related to availability, adoption, operational efficiency, security, and customer satisfaction
