Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- 5-10 years of experience in a network engineering role in a large regionalized WAN environment, depending on the position level.
- Proficiency in BGP, iBGP, OSPF, and eVPN techniques.
- Strong skills in designing and implementing routing strategies for regionalized WAN access.
- Experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, Firewall technologies, and Arista EOS.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and SAP for direct connections.
- Relevant licenses and certifications, including maintaining Bulk Electric System Cyber Authorized Status.
- Exceptional organizational skills and effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute projects focused on the design of new data, voice, optical, and security networks, as well as modifications that emphasize routing efficiency and security.
- Conduct design evaluations and make recommendations for networking equipment and emerging technologies.
- Provide engineering assistance for various networking components, including firewalls and VPN tunnels.
- Train fellow engineers on diverse technologies and best practices in networking.
- Coordinate strategic planning for all data and voice networks, ensuring that designs meet operational requirements.
- Facilitate the integration and testing of new networking systems, including documentation and training sessions for staff.
