Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Front-end or back-end software development expertise (SQL, Java, and/or TypeScript/React)
- Capability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Strong enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and fast-paced tech setting
- Current U.S. security clearance or aptitude to obtain one with our sponsorship (desired)
- Familiarity with startup or entrepreneurial environments (desired)
- Experience in a customer-facing or consulting capacity (desired)
Responsibilities
- Perform customer site visits to identify and comprehend pain points
- Engage in the complete software development process for new features and design capabilities
- Rapidly iterate to consistently enhance customer value
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define, architect, and implement new product initiatives and prototypes
- Build and deliver effective, customer-facing prototypes
- Assess and prioritize critical gaps in prototype solutions based on user feedback and work alongside product managers
- Embrace failure, quickly iterate, and strive for continuous improvement

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Occam, youll play a crucial role in developing innovative capabilities in collaboration with our customers.
