Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree coupled with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and CompTIA Security certification
- Current CCNA Certification or CCNP
- In-depth understanding of LAN switching, including VLANs, VTP, Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 configurations
- Proficient knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and their implementation best practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills for L1/L2 networks (both Unclassified and Classified)
- Experience with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices at network access points
Responsibilities
- Oversee data or infrastructure system networks for alerts, warnings, or issues
- Detect problems and resolve them as necessary
- Diagnose issues utilizing scripts and established procedures
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure swift resolution during network outages or diminished performance
- Manage Approved Service Interruptions (ASIs) as instructed by management
- Uphold necessary security standards across all network equipment in line with DoD and local command guidelines, which include updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other fundamental network security measures
