Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrated experience in technical support or desktop support roles
- Solid understanding of computer management and hardware troubleshooting
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Capability to resolve software issues across various platforms and applications
- Familiarity with VPN configurations, firewalls, and best practices in network security
- Strong communication skills, emphasizing customer service
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver first-line technical support to all staff and departments
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly
- Install, configure, and oversee computer systems and software applications
- Set up and maintain printers
- Perform regular system updates and maintenance to guarantee peak performance
- Record technical issues and solutions for future reference
- Work closely with the IT team to formulate and execute IT policies and procedures
- Aid in the setup and upkeep of IT equipment for new hires
- Offer training and assistance to staff on utilizing technology and software applications
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and developments
- Travel to remote locations to install equipment or deliver technical support
Description
We are looking for a committed IT Support Specialist to become part of our technology team. Our ideal candidate will deliver technical support and troubleshooting expertise to maintain the seamless functionality of our IT infrastructure. This position involves the management of computer systems, assistance to end-users, and the upkeep of network security across various operating systems. The selected individual will be crucial in rectifying hardware and software concerns, supporting remote access solutions, and upholding system security protocols.
