Requirements
Must:
- 9+ years of software development experience with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Golang
- Solid understanding of Operating Systems, multi-threaded/multi-process applications, and inter-process communication
- Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving
- Experience with unit testing frameworks in Python or Golang
- Familiarity with TCP/IP suite protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, Vxlan, Geneve)
- Professional background in developing software for networking or security products
- Deep knowledge of the Linux operating system and its utilities
- Understanding of virtualization concepts across compute, storage, and network
- Experience creating user-level applications in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with public cloud services like AWS, Azure, or OCI
- Skills in diagnosing issues in complex distributed applications
- Exposure to Linux networking stack and IP tables
- Practical experience with web technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf
Responsibilities
- Guide the technical strategy for key product areas within the Prism team
- Design and create an advanced hybrid/multi-cloud product that is scalable, resilient, and performs well in large deployments
- Engage in all product development stages including conception, design, implementation, deployment, and performance engineering
- Produce robust designs, and write clean code and unit tests for high-quality, reusable, and extensible software using an API-driven approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, product managers, and support staff to fulfill customer requirements and promote engineering breakthroughs
- Help define product specifications, evaluate designs and code from peers, as well as review test plans and performance strategies
- Take full responsibility for product features and work independently with minimal supervision to architect and deliver module-level functionalities
