Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 10+ years of experience as a Federal Sr./Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, with 3-5+ years in a management role
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization and storage markets
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Top Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred
- Ability to utilize resources from Engineering, Marketing, and Product Development to exceed sales goals
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time within the region
- A humble leader with a proactive attitude and a commitment to support team success
Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with key customers in the designated territory
- Act as a flexible Systems Engineer to support team members in case of resource conflicts or absences
- Take charge of channel enablement for ongoing support and collaboration with partners
- Assist the field SE team with complex evaluations, troubleshooting, and challenging customer environments
- Recruit and onboard new Systems Engineers and managers for the territory, providing mentorship and training
- Manage the Systems Engineers in the area, conducting regular one-on-ones, two-by-two meetings with sales partners, and overseeing expense management and escalations
- Serve as an escalation point for technical issues occurring during pre-sales and post-sales in the territory
- Cultivate relationships with channel partners and their technical teams
- Clearly articulate the value of Nutanix while addressing the specific needs of the Federal sector
- Stay informed about changes within the Federal environment and utilize strategies to foster positive relationships and enhance sales
