Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a DevOps/SRE role
- Practical experience in a production setting with on-premise hardware
- Skilled in deploying and configuring containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining real-time observability solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline deployment and configuration (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo, or similar)
- Knowledge of networking basics, including enterprise routing and switching
- Strong command of Linux command-line operations and system administration
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Exposure to the EPICS framework (preferred)
- Experience with maintaining Linux systems (Red Hat, Rocky, CentOS) (preferred)
- Programming skills in Python and/or C/C++ with object-oriented concepts (preferred)
- Experience with databases and object storage solutions (ElasticSearch, MariaDB, S3, MongoDB) (preferred)
- Background in regulated or safety-critical environments (preferred)
- Ability to work in both office and production environments
- Capability to remain seated for extended periods with frequent use of a computer
- Willingness to travel occasionally, less than 10%
Responsibilities
- Address and resolve production challenges and outages with guidance from senior colleagues
- Support observability projects by creating and managing monitoring dashboards and alert notifications
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code scripts, automation tools, system images, virtual instances, and containers to facilitate accelerator operations
- Assist in identifying and documenting system vulnerabilities and potential failure points
- Record processes, procedures, and troubleshooting protocols in the team knowledge base
- Deploy and configure vendor software utilities and packages based on the EPICS framework
