Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of five years of experience in supporting, maintaining, and installing mission-critical infrastructure in a data center setting
- Strong collaborative skills, comfortable working with peers, engineers, vendors, and operational teams
- Knowledgeable in IT infrastructure hardware design, deployment, and maintenance
- Proficient with CAD and DCIM tools for white-space planning and capacity analysis
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom
- Excellent communication and documentation capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Bachelors degree preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare data center white space while ensuring proper maintenance of power availability, rack capacity, airflow, and cooling standards
- Support the full lifecycle of IT assets, from installation and cabling to ongoing operations and retirement
- Oversee onsite cabling vendors and manage daily workload and after-hours support
- Maintain operational work requests through ServiceNow
- Move and install equipment, racks, and materials within the data center
- Create CAD templates and support high-density deployment planning
- Update asset information in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and maintain CAD and DCIM floor plans and elevations
- Prepare electrical quotes, manage circuit installations, and configure power distribution
- Serve as the first responder for connectivity, power, and cooling issues
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed
- Evaluate and select new technology solutions for data center operations
- Track inventory and supplies while monitoring environmental, security, and system alerts
- Partner with facilities and MEP providers to ensure seamless data center operation
