Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in enterprise data modeling, including the development of conceptual, logical, and physical models.
- Proven proficiency in data profiling, analysis, and optimization.
- Expertise in canonical models, Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of metadata management and data governance practices.
- Strong understanding of enforcing data standards and reconciliation protocols.
- Experience in capacity planning and lifecycle management.
- Technical proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Databricks (or similar technologies).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate technical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of conceptual data models that define business entities, relationships, concepts, and rules.
- Construct logical and physical data models for intricate client hierarchies and accurately document the data designs.
- Present modeling results and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and development teams.
- Establish and uphold governance processes for data modeling and implementation tasks.
- Define and maintain organization-wide standards for data models, naming conventions, and metadata.
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) practices, including reconciliation, deduplication, and integration of source systems.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to create, revise, and maintain data models.
- Analyze challenges related to data system integration and recommend strategic solutions.
- Conduct data capacity planning, lifecycle management, feasibility assessments, and optimization studies.
- Develop canonical models and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) models while leveraging SOA for integrations.
- Assist in enterprise integration initiatives with modern data platforms, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and security policies.
- Implement processes to monitor and enhance data quality, accuracy, completeness, and redundancy.
- Formulate strategies for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.
