Requirements
Must:
- 2-5 years of experience in technical writing or related fields
- Associates degree, Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of technical communication standards and practices
- Advanced writing skills with excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Hands-on attitude towards learning high-speed doors
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and business communications
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent decision-making skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Preferred: experience with CAD or 3D modeling (SolidWorks 2023 preferred)
- Preferred: experience with SolidWorks Composer 2023
- Preferred: knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical principles
Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation such as product manuals, service bulletins, and work instructions
- Create illustrations including exploded views and parts lists using engineering drawings and CAD models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of products and documentation needs
- Ensure documentation aligns with internal style guidelines and applicable standards
- Manage document development and long-term storage systems efficiently
- Uphold safety policies and practices consistently
- Engage with the team to enhance knowledge on high-speed doors and related procedures
