Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree preferred, or an associate in science degree in a related field with 1+ years of experience
- High school diploma with IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) considered with a minimum of 2+ years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in technical support, help desk, or a similar role
- Strong comprehension of prevalent operating systems and business software
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols
- Drivers license required; may involve light travel to company facilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, along with adept problem-solving skills
- Capacity to thrive under pressure and juggle multiple responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and effective technical assistance to end-users through various communication methods such as phone, email, chat, or in-person
- Identify, diagnose, and remedy hardware and software issues, including networks, desktops, laptops, printers, operating systems, and applications
- Maintain thorough records of support inquiries, solutions, and hardware/software inventory; create and update user guides and knowledge base articles
- Assist with the installation, setup, and configuration of computer hardware and software; perform routine maintenance on network systems
- Manage password resets, unlock accounts, and control user access according to security protocols
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity problems and support network setup and configuration
- Educate users on safe computing practices, assist in removing viruses and malware, and ensure timely updates and patches are installed
- Deliver outstanding user support, addressing inquiries with professionalism and patience, and keep users informed throughout the support process
