Requirements
Must:
- Experienced in ITIL processes, particularly in Configuration Management and Change Management
- Solid understanding of cloud computing fundamentals across various providers (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure environments, including servers, storage, virtualization, and mainframe systems
- Strong grasp of networking concepts, such as LAN, WAN, protocols, and mainframe connectivity
- Proficient in ServiceNow, particularly with its Discovery platform and Service Mapping techniques
- Familiarity with the Tanium platform, including integration features and endpoint management capabilities
- Experience with CMDB tools and ITSM solutions, like BMC Remedy and IBM Z Discovery
- Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex datasets using SQL, Python, or R
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities
- Design a scalable architecture for the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) that integrates systems like mainframe and Tanium
- Establish data quality standards, conducting regular audits and validations for data integrity
- Document and enhance CMDB processes utilizing methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide training, and facilitate communication among teams
- Administer and troubleshoot CMDB tools, ensuring detailed documentation is maintained
- Generate reports and dashboards to analyze CMDB data and make informed recommendations
- Ensure CMDB compliance with regulations and implement robust security protocols
- Integrate and automate data collection and monitoring for mainframe systems
- Develop and oversee Tanium integration with ServiceNow for improved data accuracy and automation
