Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with 5 years of relevant experience
- Masters degree with 3 years of experience or PhD with no experience
- Proven experience in data analysis, performance analysis, and algorithm development based on physics/mathematics
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical teams
- High level of proficiency in technical problem-solving
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or other similar engineering tools for complex algorithm prototyping
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
- History of successfully integrating problem solutions into larger systems
- Background knowledge in areas such as Ballistic Missile Defense, missile defense, threat processing, and weapon target assignments
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong critical thinking abilities with keen attention to detail
- Capacity to obtain and maintain a TS Clearance; active secret clearance required
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of a next-generation Fire Control software product within an Agile work environment
- Collaborate with diverse teams to design and integrate complex systems
- Analyze performance metrics and propose solutions to enhance system capabilities
- Conduct algorithm development and testing to ensure effective system performance
- Communicate technical findings and updates to stakeholders clearly and effectively
- Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions to foster innovation
- Maintain documentation of system designs, processes, and integrated solutions
