Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field from an accredited institution and 12 years of relevant engineering experience, OR a Masters Degree in STEM with 10 years of related engineering experience, OR a PhD in STEM with 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation occurring within the last 6 years.
- Proven experience in a formal technical leadership role.
- Proficient in C++ and object-oriented design methodologies.
- Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle and Agile software development practices.
- Experience in architecting, writing requirements, or developing software applications for flight systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug hard real-time embedded software with logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of embedded systems for safety-critical software.
- Collaborate with a team of software engineers in an Agile environment to achieve critical milestones.
- Ensure adherence to program mandated software standards and compliance criteria.
- Develop software in a continuous integration toolchain that meets technical and compliance requirements.
- Tackle complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Work under consultative direction towards established long-term objectives, often initiating assignments independently.
- Provide advanced technological ideas and guide their transformation into final products.
- Serve as an organizational spokesperson for advanced projects and act as an advisor to management and clients on advanced technical research and applications.
