Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field plus 5 years of professional experience with automated test equipment (ATE); or a masters degree with 3 years of experience.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Experience focused on hardware as an Electrical or Computer Engineer.
- Capability to obtain a Government Secret clearance post-hire.
- 1-2 years of experience with LabVIEW programming.
- Proficient in reading and understanding schematics, embedded software, and communication protocols.
- Experience with digital and analog electronics for signal conditioning and isolation circuit design.
- Familiarity with electrical and functional testers, including interfaces, pneumatic systems, and test platforms such as PXI and GPIB.
- Willingness to work on-site with a flexible arrangement, and ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with remote teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, team-oriented, and self-motivated leadership.
- Effective at communicating with cross-functional teams.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure product quality by developing production test equipment for military/aerospace products, including programming, debugging, and production deployment.
- Create, develop, and implement efficient testing methods for Design Verification Testing (DVT).
- Maintain and update test equipment for functional board-level and final acceptance tests.
- Gain an understanding of multiple product functionalities to optimize test time and propose additional testing methodologies.
- Co-lead design reviews focused on testability.
- Assist in the fabrication of fixtures, order parts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Design test and diagnostic programs, including test fixtures and instrument racks.
- Collect data and identify necessary changes in test equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, or test requirements.
- Select appropriate sensors and instrumentation while understanding product requirements to devise a comprehensive test strategy.
- Act as a liaison among Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and other teams to ensure new product designs can be manufactured efficiently and with high quality. Perform Design for Testability and coverage analysis.
- Translate customer requirements into test cases for DVT and production testing.
