Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and 12 years of relevant software experience, or a Masters degree and 10 years of related experience, or a Ph.D. with 7 years of relevant software experience (considering additional experience in lieu of a degree)
- Proficient in all stages of the software development lifecycle and Agile software methodologies
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role within a team setting
- Minimum of 2 years experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, or other Object-Oriented Programming languages
- At least 2 years of experience with Docker containerization and preferred knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration
- A minimum of 2 years experience in Linux tools, automation, and shell scripting
- 2+ years experience utilizing continuous integration/deployment tools like Jenkins or GitLab
- In-depth understanding and practical experience in software development
- Familiarity with configuration management practices utilizing industry-standard tools
- Must possess an Active DoD Top Secret clearance at the time of application and be able to obtain and maintain special program access
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on the integration of new and emerging industry technologies into program systems
- Execute engineering modifications to the existing systems as needed
- Analyze and incorporate technical requirements into comprehensive system architectures
- Be prepared to work Temporary/short-term off-peak hours for hardware/software integration tasks
- Engage in full lifecycle design, execution, and unit testing of software
- Collaborate with team members to combine functionalities with various software elements
- Take the lead in driving solutions to intricate challenges faced by the team
- Assist in software working groups alongside clients
- Create software solutions throughout all stages of the software lifecycle
- Generate and distribute technical documentation and presentations
- Identify and implement new tools and processes to enhance team productivity
- Conduct technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and risk analysis for total systems
- Ensure effective conversion of customer or product requirements into complete system solutions while considering technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints
- Lead engineering teams in program execution
- Mentor engineers in all stages of the program
- Support the software department in daily operations
- Manage a team of software developers, providing support for their needs, training, and professional development
