Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related field) and 2 years of relevant experience; OR a masters degree with no experience; OR a PhD with 4 years of experience. Experience may substitute for degree (additional 4 years)
- Proven software development skills
- Proficiency in Python application development, C++, and Bash Scripting
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must hold an active Top Secret clearance at the time of application and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance
- For Principal Software Engineer: 5 years of experience with the same educational qualifications
Responsibilities
- Engage in full-stack development across operating systems, platforms, and mission-specific software layers
- Create client and server applications using service-oriented or object-oriented architectures with innovative capabilities
- Utilize multiple programming languages and tools including Python, C++, and Postgres
- Take initiative in decision-making, keeping project logistics in perspective
- Assist with operations software and handle configurations, troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Participate in acceptance testing and execute testing processes
- Employ test automation techniques
- Configure ground segment software accordingly
- Address and resolve software defects
- Implement software enhancements based on client feedback or mission requirements
- Provide software support during launch and rehearsal activities
- Assist in deploying new ground segment software in various environments
