Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Capability to acquire Special Access Program approval as required by business needs
- Familiarity with systems engineering integration and testing principles and processes
- Test Engineer: 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree or Masters degree with no relevant experience, or 4 additional years of experience instead of a degree
- Principal Test Engineer: 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree, 3 years relevant experience with a Masters degree, 1 year with a PhD, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
- At least 2 years of experience in creating Electrical/Mechanical component testing documentation including troubleshooting, test plans, and reports
- Preferred: Security + Certification and experience with automated test equipment for cable testing
- Additional preferred qualifications include experience with Command & Control Systems, familiarity with various testing standards, and knowledge of automated test equipment design
Responsibilities
- Develop test requirements and detailed integration test plans, procedures, and reports
- Execute qualification and acceptance testing according to established plans
- Conduct tests, manage issues, and prioritize problem resolution
- Participate in internal and customer test planning meetings
- Design and implement testing methods and necessary equipment
- Prepare and deliver test presentations for program reviews and customer documentation
- Analyze data and recommend changes to test equipment and procedures
- Address troubleshooting needs for tests and prototypes, documenting issues via Test Discrepancy Reports
- Collaborate with systems engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process
- Review and witness test plans, procedures, and reports as the Cognizant Engineer
- Engage in technical meetings, interfacing with both internal and external customers, contributing to program deliverables
