Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field with 5 years of experience, or Masters degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree - US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance (within the last 6 years) - Capability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) - Proficient in planning and managing technical scopes effectively - Experience working in an Agile, cross-functional Scrum team - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design principles - Proficient in developing complex software solutions in C++ - Familiar with scripting languages such as Python and Bash - Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering languages and concepts (SysML/UML) - Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex algorithms and requirements - For Sr. Principal: 8 years of experience with a Bachelors, 6 with a Masters, 4 with a PhD, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree - Preferred: Bachelors or higher degree in STEM, experience with Atlassian Suite, proficiency with DOORS and Cameo, ability to assess risks and present solutions

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain software-hardware integration - Write clean and testable Python code in various environments - Interface with embedded hardware using communication protocols (UART, SPI, etc.) - Conduct unit/component testing using frameworks such as pytest - Develop automated testing scripts for hardware-in-the-loop environments - Manage development lifecycle including firmware updates and configurations - Collaborate with electrical engineers and QA testers for project success - Utilize Agile methodologies within cross-functional teams - Document hardware interface specifications, testing procedures, and release notes - Support leadership in planning and execution of technical projects
