Requirements

Must:
- 5 years of experience as a Principal DevOps Engineer with a Bachelors degree in a relevant field; 3 years with a Masters; 1 year with a PhD; or 4 additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree. - U.S. Citizenship is required, along with an active U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, etc.) that has been re-investigated within the last 6 years. - Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). - Proficiency with build tools (e.g., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (e.g., Nexus, JFROG) in a Linux setting. - 5 years of experience with Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating systems. - 5 years of experience using scripting languages (e.g., PERL, Python, Bash, YAML). - 3 years of Kubernetes implementation and Day 2 Operations experience within a CI/CD Pipeline. - 3 years of experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, vCenter, vSphere, or similar virtual provisioning techniques. - 3 years of experience with container technologies. - 3 years of hands-on experience developing and implementing CI/CD Pipelines. - Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Strong critical thinking and reasoning abilities, capable of resolving issues effectively.

Responsibilities

- Assist in designing, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure/cloud resources required to support applications throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). - Create and manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Develop scripts and configurations to automate software testing, deployment, and maintenance while adhering to software engineering best practices. - Proactively monitor build and deployment pipelines and infrastructure; apply patches and troubleshoot issues to resolve errors. - Automate deployments and configurations of infrastructure and/or cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code tools. - Address findings from vulnerability scans and penetration tests. - Informally mentor colleagues on DevOps methodologies and processes. - Collaborate with peers and business partners to identify workflows or processes suitable for automation to enhance efficiency or reduce costs. - Provide application support, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting as needed. - Troubleshoot technical challenges, identify root causes, and devise potential solutions for existing applications.
