Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must possess the capability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval as required
- Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with relevant experience:
- 5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree
- 3 years with a Masters degree
- 1 year with a PhD
- 1 year of experience in requirements analysis and specification development
- 1 year of experience utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools
- 1 year of experience in multi-disciplinary engineering development, including Software, Hardware, and Systems Engineering
- For Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
- 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with large scale aerospace/defense projects
- 4 years in System Engineering process including the V Model
- Experience using IBM Rational DOORS for requirement management
- Experience analyzing MBSE diagrams with Cameo, SysML, and/or DoDAF
- Experience writing design specifications for hardware components
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, and Jira
Responsibilities
- Support the Sentinel Programs Command and Control (C2) Hardware Systems Engineering team
- Design and document the hardware architecture, components, interfaces, and performance of the C2 system
- Conduct hardware Trade Studies, Analyses of Alternatives, and Design Specifications to finalize the C2 technical baseline prior to the Sentinel Critical Design Review
- Collaborate with a team of Systems Engineers and Hardware Engineers using Agile methodologies
- Tackle complex requirements challenges stemming from a multi-tiered Specification Tree, ensuring compliance with multiple federal regulatory bodies
- Coordinate with engineering teams across the Command Systems Segment to identify and address critical requirements and architecture issues related to hardware products
- Lead negotiations with Hardware stakeholders concerning Cybersecurity, Nuclear Safety, and Software Engineering
