Requirements
Must:
- 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline
- 12 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree
- 9 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, performance analysis, and physics or mathematics-based algorithm development
- Strong ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading technical teams
- Proven capability to break down large projects into manageable tasks, assign these tasks, and oversee progress
- High level of proficiency in solving technical challenges
- Familiarity with tools like MATLAB, Python, or similar for prototyping complex algorithms
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a team
- Record of successfully integrating solutions into larger systems
- Extensive experience in at least one of the following domains: Ballistic Missile Defense, midcourse missile defense, battle management, threat processing, weapon target assignment, target object map population
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Well-honed critical thinking skills with a focus on detail
- Active Secret clearance is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Develop and prototype algorithms for fire control and battle management
- Assess algorithm performance and behavior in various threat scenarios
- Lead small technical teams in these development efforts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met
