Requirements
Must:
- For the Principal Systems Administrator position, a bachelor’s degree along with 5 years of experience is required; or a master's degree with 3 years of experience; or 9 years of experience considered in place of a degree.
- For the Senior Principal Systems Administrator, a bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience is essential; or a master's degree with 5 years of experience; or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- An active Top Secret clearance is a must (with a background investigation conducted within the last 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
- The ability to obtain and maintain an active SCI clearance and CI Polygraph is needed.
- Capability to be cleared for Special Access Programs.
- Current Security CE certification or the ability to acquire it within 6 months of hiring.
- Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture is vital.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work after hours or on weekends if required.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to perform as a System Administrator, reporting to the PAX Triton ITT Ground Segment Manager for all system integration, sustainment, and ground/flight test support related to the ground segment.
- You will provide Windows and VMware System Administrator support for a classified government contract, as well as perform Linux and Redhat System Administrator tasks.
- Maintaining effective operation of multi-user computer systems by collaborating with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, and end-users is essential.
- You will analyze customer requirements to determine necessary equipment and software solutions.
- I will want you to review and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, which includes installation, upgrades/patches, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Providing backup and recovery services, managing file systems and disk space, and maintaining virus protection will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will create and maintain user and computer accounts, modifying permissions and access lists as needed.
- Testing new product releases for compatibility and documenting technical processes will also be expected.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in sustainment, evaluation, integration, and systems deficiency resolution is key.
- Adherence to strict information system security guidelines will be required.
