Requirements

Must:
- Masters Degree with 6 years of experience; OR a Bachelors Degree with 8 years of experience; OR an Associates Degree with 10 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of IT experience is essential - DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE) - Must possess a current and fully adjudicated DOD Top Secret level security clearance - Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI level security clearance as a condition of employment - Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of employment - Experience in designing and managing LAN & WAN based networks, along with proficiency in Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)

Responsibilities

- Ensure the seamless operation of classified networks within LAN/WAN environments - Plan, design, configure, and install network hardware to meet customer needs - Maintain expert knowledge in various network and computer hardware/software connections, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, and switches - Propose solutions to management for optimizing communications based on future needs and current usage - Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including operational procedures - Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls - Provide ongoing monitoring and network analysis for both short and long-term planning - Design networks or segments thereof, selecting appropriate hardware and software packages - Offer incident and service request support in alignment with enterprise SLAs - Represent the organization to solve complex technical issues associated with specific projects - Collaborate effectively with colleagues across engineering, network administration, systems administration, and facility organizations - Execute troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems - Document network technology components thoroughly - Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network challenges
