Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline with at least 5 years of relevant professional or military engineering experience OR Masters degree in a STEM discipline with at least 3 years of relevant professional or military engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM discipline with at least 1 year of relevant professional or military engineering experience for Principal Level
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline with at least 8 years of relevant professional or military engineering experience OR Masters degree in a STEM discipline with at least 6 years of relevant professional or military engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM discipline with at least 4 years of relevant professional or military engineering experience for Senior Principal Level
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) as required by business needs
- Preferred qualifications include: a current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, strong expertise in identifying architecture defects, experience supporting Systems Engineering Milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR), and familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
- Engineering degree preferably in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics
Responsibilities
- Collaborating within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to analyze, update, and maintain software Interface Control Document (ICD) artifacts
- Assisting with System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Review (PDR) for new developmental projects
- Developing comprehensive architecture for programs throughout all phases from new business acquisition to established baseline programs
- Promoting the use of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools to capture System-software dependencies and developing tool expertise for model support
- Working collaboratively on system design, ensuring end-to-end traceability, conducting data analyses, and resolving failures/anomalies through models
- Innovating methods to automate documentation and processes related to design and testing
- Creating model metrics that facilitate design reviews, systems integration, verification, and validation
- Preparing and presenting materials for Engineering Design Reviews
- Maturing and coordinating software interface, requirements, and model artifacts to support the extensive development and sustainment of integrated components
- Overseeing primary interface control tools and granting final approval for modifications to program baselines
- Ensuring compliance with Interface Management work instructions and educating team members on relevant procedures
- Maintaining Interface Artifacts in accordance with proper configuration management protocols
- Coordinating with stakeholders to validate and verify interface artifacts
- Leading and participating in working group and review board meetings, providing technical approvals as necessary
- Exercising strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to enhance coordination among IPTs and with clients
- Exhibiting excellent critical thinking and communication skills in verbal and written formats
- Understanding the application and development of Interface Control artifacts in substantial systems
