Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a Bachelor of Science in a STEM field; or 3 years with a Masters degree; or 1 year with a PhD
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Capability to obtain and retain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Willingness to work full-time at our Woodland Hills, CA location
- Proficiency in signal selection, acquisition and tracking, Position, Velocity, and Time (PVT) calculations, data demodulation, and signal correction
- Experience in developing algorithms for satellite acquisition, tracking, and receiver measurement
- Familiarity with integrated INS/GPS navigation systems and exposure to Kalman filtering/estimation theory
Responsibilities
- Analyze navigation performance in both laboratory and flight test scenarios
- Communicate status updates, issues, and results to program management and clients
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to advance navigation and timing technologies
- Participate in a team of navigation and timing specialists in a collaborative environment committed to innovation
- Utilize cutting-edge navigation systems, techniques, algorithms, and software to improve mission outcomes
- Present ideas to both internal and external audiences, representing Northrop Grumman at technical conferences and working groups
